Hallo, I am just right now using an ASUS UL30A. My family has now not enough notebooks, since the ASUS UL30A is no longer available, I consider an ASUS Zen Book. The first important question is the power plug. It looks different from the power plug of my current ASUS. I want to use 2 sorts of power supply. 1.) On journeys I use always a combined 12V DC 100-230V AC power supply http://laptop.pege.org/2010/multi-power-supply.htm 2.) I have a solar set with a direct 19 V outlet and several adapters for different notebooks. http://laptop.pege.org/2012-outdoor/ A selesman told me, that the plug of the Zenbook has 3 wires. Is this true? Does usual adapter plugs from car adapters match with the Zenbook? Where is it possible to get a plug? Next question, the Zenbook has a very small battery. Is it possible to exchange it with a normal sized batteries with at last 84Wh?
I don't believe that the Zenbook is a good candidate for what you are looking to do. I don't think you will be able to upgrade the battery. -JRW
